Project
Rozgar: Empowering Individuals and Boosting the Economy
Project Rozgar is a dynamic initiative launched by the
Association for Progressive Society (APS) to create employment opportunities at
an individual level. This project aims to empower individuals, thereby
contributing positively to the nation's economic growth through APS's dedicated
efforts.
How
Project Rozgar Works
Local
Engagement through Unit Management Committees (UMCs)
APS establishes Unit Management Committees (UMCs) at the
local level to manage and process requests for employment assistance.
Individuals seeking support submit their requests to these committees. The
nature of requests varies widely – some individuals might need a cart to start
a vegetable or fruit business, others might seek assistance to open a grocery
store or set up a tea stall.
Verification
and Funding Process
Once a request is received, the UMC verifies the details and
forwards them to the APS Working Committee. This includes an assessment of
whether sufficient funds are available for the project. The Working Committee
reviews the budget and, if the necessary funds are available, approves the
request. The beneficiary is then required to fill out a form, and the approved
amount is directly transferred to their account.
Ongoing
Support and Training
Following the financial assistance, APS assigns a team to
provide follow-up support to ensure the success of the new business. If the
beneficiary requires additional training to enhance their business skills, APS
arranges for this training to help make the business profitable. The APS team
continuously monitors the business’s progress, focusing on profits and sales.
Inspiring
Success Stories
To encourage and motivate others, APS publishes the success
stories of beneficiaries on its website. These stories serve as an inspiration,
showing how individual efforts, supported by Project Rozgar, can lead to
successful businesses and a stronger economy.
Project Rozgar exemplifies how strategic support at the
grassroots level can empower individuals and create a ripple effect of economic
improvement across the nation.
